Harry welcomed and picked us up from the airport which was great as I has injured my ankle whilst in Ecuador and walking was difficult. The room we were given was clean and tidy. At breakfast the next morning Harry and his team were very welcoming and there was plenty of choice of self service food plus cooked eggs etc if one wanted them. There was a great view of the Port from the breakfast balcony. By this time I was in a lot of pain with my ankle so we went to the local hospital where they x rayed it and found out it was broken. They put the ankle in a cast but I could only stay on my holiday if I had crutches. We found out that the only crutches for sale on the Island were for a 6ft man (I am a 5ft 3inch woman). Harry jumped to our aid and cut the crutches down and then re-riveted the top of them back on. He then rang the cruise company we had booked with (Royal Galapagos) to check with them if I would be able to still go on the cruise that we were due to join in 2 days time. This was really helpful as we don't speak Spanish and Harry explained to them what had happened to me and about my injury. He told me they said I could still go on the cruise. Harry was so kind and because of his help my husband and I managed to continue with our planned holiday of a lifetime with our daughter and her fiancée. Throughout our stay Harry and all the staff at Eco Friendly hotel were helpful, cheerful, and welcoming. Without Harry adjusting the crutches I would have had to fly home immediately - thank you Harry! We bumped into Harry on Santa Cruz Island a week later and it was lovely to see his cheerful face and be able to tell him I had managed to complete the cruise despite the broken ankle!

The courtyard was comfortable and inviting, the rooms were adequate size, comfortable beds, hot water with good shower pressure, even hot water in the sink. Big windows for lots of light, fridge, microwave and air conditioning. Breakfast was continental but with more options than most continental breakfasts and each morning the eggs were prepared differently, made to order. Fresh fruit, an assortment of cereals, real coffee, hot water for tea, hot chocolate or capuccino; almond butter and an assortment of alternative milks. Beautiful view out to the ocean. The staff is so kind and welcoming, anything you need for your stay, they're happy to oblige. The area is very quiet and they have good wifi, some of the best out of the three main islands even others with Starlink had worse speeds and connectivity than here. Fairly close to local small restaurants, but it is an uphill walk from everywhere. You can tell that the owners put a lot of thought into this place.

The location was at the top of the village of Puerto Baquerizo Moreno. It is a nice walk downtown but a bit of a struggle walking back uphill. The use of taxis around the town is really great because it is $2.00 for anywhere in the town area. The breakfasts were very well done with good selection and tasty. The murals around the area with many wildlife and sights around the island of San Cristobal. The many gardens and plants around the yard were a nice touch as well. The breakfast room had a very nice view of the harbour. Harry and the staff were very helpful and friendly throughout my stay. Generally really enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend it for people wanting a "eco friendly",hotel while on San Cristobal.

Harry and the rest of the staff were all super friendly and helpful whenever we needed anything or had any questions. The rooms and common areas were very clean and our room was cleaned daily. Comfortable bed & good pillows. Breakfast on the top floor patio was always great with fresh fruit, breads & spreads, eggs, cereal, coffee, etc. and a view! Easy walking distance (10min) from the main shopping and restaurant area but far enough that the nights were very peaceful and quiet. I would highly recommend Galápagos Eco Friendly to any San Cristobal visitor with no hesitations!

To begin with, the hotel was very conveniently located close to the airport and to restaurants and the harbor. Quiet and peaceful. Beautifully kept up as if it were truly loved by the staff and ownership. The room was clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed coming back to the GEF each day. A little wonderland. Harry and his wife were wonderful hosts. Harry went above and beyond.breakfast was great with a fabulous view.
